I need lots of advice! My daughter just brought me 5 turkey egg's.Her hen has been sitting on them, 1 is about 10 or 12 days along and the youngest one could be 8 days.
I candled them right away and I can see the different stages of incubation.
Im not real sure of setting dates on any eggs . four are very alive, air sacks are to small.(I will drop humidity into the 30tys right away)One egg is solid and I can't see anything? How do I deal with a staggered hatch when I don't know the dates?
I do have a second bator to move eggs to as hatcher with higher humidity.

Once they get to looking ready, watch for drawdown by candling once a day, maybe twice. Once you see it, move that egg to the hatcher.

It's when the air cell tips in preparation for internal pip. One side draws way down, and the other pushes up above the air cell marking line you traced at day 18.

The Buff died the evening it was born

It was a black Americauna that was in the egg i mentioed

and we had another buff hatch

and just today we had ANOTHER buff hatch (It's still wet!)

I have my own, and I trust it more than any store-bought I can think of. Absolutely make your own. Look at the first post of this thread for instructions.

Ok! Thank you so much! I also heard you can keep the humidity stable by putting in a bowl of water with a sponge

Might be too high or too low depending on bowl size, but yes, that tends to provide a pretty even humidity.
