EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Just talked to Sally. She's getting along fairly well, considering what she's just been through. Still can't bend her neck very well to look down. She's syringe-feeding a new litter right now, 'cause her 4-time mama ain't been doing her job. It's kicking her butt, but kids are able to help some.

So far so good, the temp and humidity has remained consistent. Extra sensor reading at 103.2 in the center (I have no eggs in that area) and the incubator reading at 99.5. Small fluctuations in humidity reading at 31-41 %. I have the bator wrapped lightly in clean pad that I use for my puppies, to prevent drafts or bright light out. I'm keeping log of everything I do, even if its re positioning the fan in room, (not blowing on bator, but for temp monitoring) so I hopefully can look back and learn. And today is day 5!!
When I candle on day 7, should I take all the eggs out at once to view? Thanks for checking!!

What type of incubator are you using?

Fresh Air needs to circulate in and out of the Bator to deliver fresh oxygen to the developing embryos so you can't cover all the ventilation holes.

There are a few at the bottom that remain uncovered, but I can adjust to let more in, I have just added the covers so hopefully that won't have an negative impact.
Thank you!
