I'm afraid I have no amazing adventures to report on, sadly.

I've just been busy dealing with life... working, taking care of my terminally ill father, sick puppy and because I didn't have enough going on, I decided to rip up all my carpet and install new flooring on my own (something I've never done), which then turned into needing to paint, and then decided the kitchen needed some updates too...almost done re-doing things in the house just in time for school to start back up for my girl in a few weeks. Summer has flown by.

On a bright note, I have all of my different age chickens integrated into one flock again!

Sorry about your father, that must be very difficult for you. Sorry to hear about the puppy, and duck, and the house project getting larger and more expensive than originally thought.

Fortunately, for the last year & a half of Dad's life, we had a lady here all day during the week while we were both at work.
Just got word today that the wife of a good friend of 40+ years standing is being transferred from the hospital to a hospice facility, maybe today; hospital can't do anything more for her. Doesn't know anyone; doesn't even know anyone's there. Doubt she'll be there very long, thankfully.

Nope Whites Can't drive anymore and they are denying transportation to and from therapy Bill can get me to my dr apts but he cant leave work early for therapy. My dr wrote a note stating i needed transportation and these are the responses I got back...

I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. My phone stopped working on 7/26 all at once. I just got a new one up and working. I also went on vacation to the Upper peninsula for a long weekend. There was no internet service available.



I have emailed and now spoken to Ms. Easter. She is investigating the need for medical transportation and is not authorizing coverage at this time. She will be in contact with you directly by email regarding this issue.

I don't know how you can work in that heat. We're in the low 80's and 50% humidity, I try to get as much done as I can before lunch, then do easier things in the afternoon.

I don't know how you can work in that heat. We're in the low 80's and 50% humidity, I try to get as much done as I can before lunch, then do easier things in the afternoon.

I do the same most days. Or go out for an hour and come back in for about the same.

While you're running back & forth, how 'bout grabbing a 2x4x36 & emailing it to me. That's how much I lack having enough to finish trimming out the last door w/o splicing it. I have a lot of shorter pieces; maybe I can cut a couple half laps & make it look alright.

One 2/4 x 36 coming right up. I still have to trim mine yet the plywood pieces were short so I figured I'd just trim them to cover it. It will look real good if I ever get it done. It's not even on the list at this point. Beside I'd scare the cr.. out of the chickens and we can't have that right.
