I feel your pain! a couple days ago I did my wellness (have you eaten anything today) call to my mother. She said, "I've been waiting for you to call all day. I want you to book me a flight to come see you asap... I talked to your brother & he said I should fly out to see you & that you can drive me (7hrs) out to AZ to visit him on his day off..."
I tried not to groan out loud. She wont eat anything but sugar, I've got no mattress in the brooder... er... guestroom, am supposed to be painting the kitchen, have two sick dogs (1 eye injury & 1 full dental extraction) car will need a check up before I can do a 14hr road trip, got a kid in 'real' school whos schedule cant be changed, & hotels in Phoenix are over $130. a night right now.

I know, right! You know I'm just coming off a nasty case of vertigo too. I said, "You want me to drive to Phoenix? I just started diving again after not being able to for a week." she said. "You'll be fine." Her level of compassion has always been off the charts.
