(Bobby is here defending his baby.. lol) HERE HE GOES..Windows certainly is a case of you get what you pay for. When I worked at a large bank, we had a meeting every morning to go over any problems which occurred over the last 24 hours. The mainframe, midrange, UNIX, AIX, and even Linux staff would have to explain the cause of any problem and what was put in place so it would not recur, the windows people somehow got away with just saying the server needed rebooting, and a regular reboot would be scheduled. They could do this because they are cheap, duplicity was built into the systems because the OS system is not stable. They are used for more than surfing the net.
"Windows certainly is a case of you get what you pay for" True true. If you buy a Pc from Dell, HP, emachines etc, they are altered Windows versions with their add on's. If you buy a Windows program direct from Microsoft, it is different. At least was. I don't know about the modern crap they have out now.
I am on XP Professional right now. Homemade computer. Custom built. Two Professional Intel Processors, Massive HD Video card, 3 Monitors and 5 SATA 500 gig storage hard drives not counting the operating system drive.
I got into Movie editing and photography with classes at the end of the XP days. Spent big bucks on a Mac G-4 and thousands on the Computer/Final Cut Pro/ sound editing and countless other software. But the Motherboard kept popping. Apple fixed it for free twice until the warranty ran out. They said it was our power we had plugged into it (ACP Battery back up). The third time, out of warranty) it got retired. Bought all the major components even a tower and created a custom Frankenstein Computer from high performance components.
Windows does support XP Professional anymore but who cares.Their update fixes destroy the program. We use tablets to search the web and this is one of the few site this computer has ever seen.
Mac is an awesome system. But is not flawless in the least bit.
I got the keyboard back..wahooo!
Ladies and gents.. grouchy was here. He gets bent out of shape when tech talk is debated. Don't judge me.. blame him.
