EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Windows certainly is a case of you get what you pay for. When I worked at a large bank, we had a meeting every morning to go over any problems which occurred over the last 24 hours. The mainframe, midrange, UNIX, AIX, and even Linux staff would have to explain the cause of any problem and what was put in place so it would not recur, the windows people somehow got away with just saying the server needed rebooting, and a regular reboot would be scheduled. They could do this because they are cheap, duplicity was built into the systems because the OS system is not stable. They are used for more than surfing the net.
(Bobby is here defending his baby.. lol) HERE HE GOES..
"Windows certainly is a case of you get what you pay for" True true. If you buy a Pc from Dell, HP, emachines etc, they are altered Windows versions with their add on's. If you buy a Windows program direct from Microsoft, it is different. At least was. I don't know about the modern crap they have out now.
I am on XP Professional right now. Homemade computer. Custom built. Two Professional Intel Processors, Massive HD Video card, 3 Monitors and 5 SATA 500 gig storage hard drives not counting the operating system drive.
I got into Movie editing and photography with classes at the end of the XP days. Spent big bucks on a Mac G-4 and thousands on the Computer/Final Cut Pro/ sound editing and countless other software. But the Motherboard kept popping. Apple fixed it for free twice until the warranty ran out. They said it was our power we had plugged into it (ACP Battery back up). The third time, out of warranty) it got retired. Bought all the major components even a tower and created a custom Frankenstein Computer from high performance components.
Windows does support XP Professional anymore but who cares.Their update fixes destroy the program. We use tablets to search the web and this is one of the few site this computer has ever seen.

Mac is an awesome system. But is not flawless in the least bit.

I got the keyboard back..wahooo!
Ladies and gents.. grouchy was here. He gets bent out of shape when tech talk is debated. Don't judge me.. blame him. :lau

That is my system still.. but the ole man dragged me in a week or so ago when I had that infection. Kinda saved me. That was a rare moment that broke my rule. Wednesday I have oral surgery to cut into my jaw to remove the tip of a molar root. If first you don't succeed, try try again.
I always get a greenhorn in trainning taking 4 tries to find a vein. The use humans to train the wet behind the ears peeps.

um....probably not.
Are you giving it liquid?
If so, stop.
The chick is doing fine today. I had a water container in the brooder with a lot of pebbles in the decrease the level. I removed that and am just giving them gro gel now. I've done a lot of research on it, (I raised a cockatiel and hand it) I know once it happens there's a high chance of secondary infection. Will just have to be watchful.

Not certain that is much of a defense, get it working for what you need it to do, then don't touch it. I just find MAC to be much more stable, and I'm not afraid of their upgrades causing me issues, which is what I want. I worked in IT for enough years and no longer desired to get into the nuts and bolts and research and fix things. (I do have a windows laptop I keep at the lake, but bring it home when it is time to install upgrades.)

Apparently I have good veins, so I have been told.

So you both just had to make me get out the temp conversion site. (grumble)

Maybe you should just use the proper measurement scale then you wouldn't need a conversion site! :lau
