My neighbours have sexlinked OEGBs. Males are white with black mottling, females are a red brown or wheaten colour.

I got drastically reduced hatch rates from very old eggs and more specifically from too broad of a collection range. It's almost impossible to combine and hatch 2 week old eggs up to 5 week old eggs without separate incubators. Too much difference in the size of the air cell. My 2016 hatch proved that. What did I hatch...5 chicks? 8 chicks? (I don't remember) out of 80 or 90 eggs. :lau What?:confused: I have no shame.:p

This is right where the hunter interrupted me this morning...and ruined my trajectory. Now, 12 hours later...I can't remember what I was going to write. :he

I do know I do not get the percentages in my hatches as everyone else does, but that's because I'm usually using older eggs...2 weeks old +. So if people get a 9/10 hatch rate...I may get 6/10 hatch rate for example. Not turning may have dropped it down to 5/10.

In my mind I was expecting something like a 2/10 hatch rate. I was also expecting unhealthy chicks; splay leg/failure to thrive/ curled toes...which I didn't get. :clap

So after a long winded reply, I'd say that "yes" not turning did reduce my hatch rate. However it wasn't what I'd consider "drastic." :)zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz And then I fell asleep while writing this. (I really did...^^^that's from me sleeping)

So I'm just going to hit "post"reply and hope for the best.:p
