EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

For those who might wonder my broody is very happy with her five. She left the eggs. I set some food and water on the floor that needs shavings this morning so she would not have to take them outside today since it was raining this morning. Eggtopsies soon.

Not at all, I think that we both have seenn shrinked wrapped chicks before.
Yes. But I've done the lockdown without opening (once upon a time) and you can still get shrink wrapping. And DIS. Some eggshells allow more moisture to escape faster than the majority of the eggs...we've probably all seen those.
I have had day 23ers. But they had issues...
Yes...same here. And some do ok.
Yes, that what happens when you live in the desert , but the majority of humanity live in, towns and cities and 100 people is nothing!
But I don't want to see that many people. :p
And then there are those of us that like to candle multiple times per hour around the clock.
Yes...there are those as well. There are those who forget the incubators open and off for the day. denkend_smilie_0004.gif I'm not saying who's done that...but we all have different methods.
And yet we all get chicks. denkend_smilie_0004.gif

I hate shopping I had to go today and stop at name brand clothing on my way home from a safety meeting. I needed some white pants for the goat show Cent showing horses and goats some stupid people seem to think white is a good idea. So someone said to me when I was at the store you know those pants have a stain on them and I said yeah well I'm going to wear them to a buck show and get paid on all weekend so they're going to be yellow before it's over anyway. It was great I got a couple of size 8 white pants and a pair of capri's for $1 or $2 each and when they get ruined who cares.
Those are awesome prices!!! I don't understand the white idea either. We were able to have black pants...but had to have a white shirt. Like seriously...WHY white. :sick

:lau

Someone has 'guilty' all over her face, and it isn't me :pop
But at least I "try" to turn all my misadventures into learning experiences for me and others...:lau:confused: How else are we going to know that an incubator can sit open and off for a hatch on TWO separate occasions and still hatch out great? Or that embryos can survive being cold for 60 hours and still hatch? :ya
She's a pullet by the way...lol. I really have to update.
