EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Yes. But I've done the lockdown without opening (once upon a time) and you can still get shrink wrapping. And DIS. Some eggshells allow more moisture to escape faster than the majority of the eggs...we've probably all seen those.

Yes...same here. And some do ok.

But I don't want to see that many people. :p

Yes...there are those as well. There are those who forget the incubators open and off for the day.View attachment 1154855 I'm not saying who's done that...but we all have different methods.
And yet we all get chicks. View attachment 1154855
So? I don't want you pay income tax, Is that helping me NOT to pay?
The world don't function according to what we want or not.

Ok so I opened the air cell both are alive. I can see ones head and it is in proper place..I don't think it's ready. The veins are more pronounced and thicker than this one. I can't see a head but wanted to post pics to see if I'm missing it and to see what y'all think. This is one with much smaller veins that has been very active since yesterday
You "sort of" have to take what works for you from everyone's different styles. In the process you'll learn what works for you. You're doing fine.:thumbsup The more you hatch...the more you learn and can gauge for yourself what is right for you.

I open eggs like that with the corner of my flashlight. I'm not dainty about it. I save some, I lose some. Some I've left hoping they'd hatch when they were doing exactly the same as your eggs...and they perished. I've also had some like Connie where I might help and I'm stuck having to put them down. And even when you have your incubation method down to a science...as change in the weather/humidity can wreck your method and you have to adapt on the go. :)

Those are awesome prices!!! I don't understand the white idea either. We were able to have black pants...but had to have a white shirt. Like seriously...WHY white. :sick
Yeah well it is the end of the season for white clothes for the most part so they have damage stuff at name brand anyway that comes from Big stores and so I'm getting the cheapest stuff for the year on whites. Thought I would buy enough for this fall show and for the summer and spring next year as I might do a doe show, and then I will have to have more. At a dollar or two per pair I bought 5 so I have plenty for this show and next year. For less than I would pay for one pair even at Walmart.

If something's on sale and it fits...they're all coming home with me...lol.
There is still a season for white clothes??

Beats me, I hate white clothes in general and I agree with you what is the point at a goat or Horse Show wearing white. It makes me wonder who they're trying to support.

Yes, that what happens when you live in the desert , but the majority of humanity live in, towns and cities and 100 people is nothing!
One, I live in the foothills of one of MD's smaller mountains, not the desert, 'though it feels like it sometimes.
Two, I count myself extremely fortunate not to live in a town or city; town's a couple miles away & city further yet. If I wanted to live in a house that looked just like the one 30' away, I'd live in a packed sardine can in a grocery store; amounts to about the same thing in my mind.

Thank you, I didn't want to really even open that much but I couldn't see a head. They are still alive as of now and we will see. There's no blood and I applied proper ointment to them. Im pretty sure one is not quite ready due to having thicker veining, but still not sure bout the other. They're back in the bator and gonna give it a bit more time watching carefully...and will see how it goes.
