With shipped eggs, a clear does not always mean it was infertile. Shipping can kill them.

A good hatch rate for shipped eggs if 50% of what you set
Agreed but I assumed it would still show a bullseye meaning a fertile egg but I’m new, is that incorrect? 12 didn’t have a bullseye one had an embryo.

I personally would never throw an egg on day 10...BUT I would not even look at an egg on day ten..

Shipped eggs and getting 2/3rds to start hatching is phenomenal. I am lucky to get 1/3 with shipped eggs...
I hadn’t planned on candling until day 14 but given the temperature was so far off & all the humidity issues I wondered where I stood. There was zero development on 12 of thefts, night be of them were fertile. At least they didn’t have a bullseye. I can’t help but feel like if they’d been fertile I’d have a better hatch rate. But I was very pleased to see myself movement & signs of life!

X2... highest hatch rate I've ever gotten on shipped was 60%ish, and I've done more than a few batches...
So I get that a good hatch rate is 50%. But I’m a long ways off from hatching. I was surprised that 12 of 34 were not fertile in the first place. Other than the infertile ones I’ve only lost 3 so far. One had a crack & I tossed it. One had a free floating airsac and on day 7 a blood ring. And another blood ring today on an embryo.

Good luck. I've found time of highest dieoff is lockdown. Little buggers get that far and give up!
(Ralphie, I have CAM issues, NOT shrinkwrap :plbb )

What breed did you get?

Good Job on the eggtopsy!
Those look like infertile eggs. Will the seller get you more due to the high infertile rate?

The eggs are silkies/sizzles. I can’t really complain about the low fertility rate because I ordered a dozen and she almost trippled my order. So I got super lucky and I’m very grateful. I just was surprised and given that I’m planning on hatching my own next spring I wondered if that’s pretty normal.
