EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Thanks BC, I really don't think the outer membrane is broken, it looks intact but he hasn't been using his beak to push up for awhile now so I can't 100% tell. Hopefully now a few have hatched they might encourage him to come out!

As for the duck talk, I really want ducks but hubby says no! =(

You are married to a very brilliant man!! Give him my best!

If it were my egg, I'd snag it out real quick and carefully nick the outer membrane just to ensure it's broken. Ralphie will disagree.

Ok, I actually just did it really quickly and the membrane was definitely not broken, nicked it carefully and checked, chick still alive, egg is back in incubator and fingers crossed. In the time I was here typing out messages another two hatched!

"BC" :lau
I doubt she's quite that old! :D
Oh NO I didn't even realise hahahaha! Now I feel terrible. :oops::plbb

upgraded to hughsnet gen5 having issues with internet go figure ughhh
I went to Gen 4; didn't notice any reliability improvement at all, just costs more, though it does have good features the older version didn't.

If I tell him that he won't be able to fit his head through a door!

Tell hubby to stop being a spoilsport; ducks are the nicest thing to ever happen. :thumbsup

A friend incubated a few duck eggs but only one hatched, let's just say it's been the CUTEST Facebook posts watching this duck grow up.

see if I can do this here..... sweets this am and dang is it chilly out der!!! Ducks dont care for cream corn, lesson learned to have more coffee before opening a can of corn....
Too cute! You've got to keep them.

You've got a cute accent, BTW.
