Wow I had no idea people still did this!! Its fortified with Pyrethrum
Kerosene
Kerosene used to be one of the most popular yet dangerous control methods. It was first mentioned as an effective flea treatment back in 1935 in the Michigan State College of Agriculture and Applied Science bulletin: “Kerosene fortified with pyrethrum gives excellent results where it is possible to use kerosene without injury to the finish or where the odor is not objectionable.” Previously, such recipe was also used for killing bed bugs.
Modern carpet treatment recipe is as follows: dissolve 100 ml of kerosene in a bucket of water and spray this devilish mixture over carpet, leave the room and let it act. Some wet cleaning is recommended afterwards in order to remove any dead fleas from the carpet. NB! Kerosene is flammable, so use safety gloves, don’t smell it and don’t smoke when you are near it!

Oh trust me. . fleas find your cat wether they go outside or not. They hitch a ride in on you or through Windows or on other pets that in outside. . then they lay eggs like crazy that fall off in your house and lay dormant for a while so just when you think they are gone NOPE here they are again. It's a constant battle.
Yes a few more years. You should be getting close to retirement by now, aren't you?
I'm looking forward to it.@Pensmaster Join us gainfully unemployed!!! It is great fun, pain, aches, Doctor visits! I am thinking of getting a job just to put a stop to the old age aches.........
Too funny wife said the same. I told her to get the ones that put them up take them down.I keep telling DW we should just leave the icicles up all year, so I don't have to go through the same exercise every year. She keeps calling me "trailer trash"; never have figured out why.
Yes I didn't have kerosene as an old Indian told me to use. The oil worked. Two doses she was good as new. Well when the feathers grew back that is.Mornin PEter, you really did? interesting!
Got my older birds liquidated in the big house finally. Have 54 egg producers left. Took a night shot after dark last night.
The oldest hens were consuming more feed than they were producing eggs. Sold 20 of them in a package deal.
I told the remaining birds to tighten up or hit the highway... I don't think they listen very well.

I've seen that ever since I subscribed to this or any other of Sally's threads; pretty frustrating. Now this makes no sense, to Sally's rant, I just refreshed and saw a half dozen posts I had never seen, quoted by others..... So confusing to us Older Citizens.
Good morning everyone.

My seramas are hatching. Looking good.
My tolbunt polish are hatching and one is pipped on the wrong end of the egg. :/ worried about her.
