Depends on the system they use, in my school A= 4.0 B= 3.0 C= 2.0 D=1.0 F=0.0 and total was the average. Some schools do it different where A= 4.0 A-=3.7 B+= 3.3 ....etc. Some also take into account AP courses and getting an A will give you above 4.0+ grade. Unless she's in stiff competition for being the Valedictorian or Salutatorian or top 10% her GPA isn't going to matter that much. And even then, that will just be for getting a select few scholorships in college or very competative colleges. Personally, I'd rather be challenged and learn more in school and get a slightly lower number grade than not learning to my capacity and getting a higher one. Once you get into college or get a job NO ONE cares about your high school GPA.
