Our Mixed Flock Journey!

I have a wild bird problem and I hung tons of the reflective/shiny ribbon and at first it works… like maybe a week or two then they figure it out 😣
I have used the bird netting and of course that works for over head predators. But you could try the reflective ribbon and use it like you did the string… taping it from one side to the other… that would be more noticeable to the hawks in my opinion… just thoughts😘

I hung the ribbon inside the coop hanging down like streamers not across… thought I’d clarify…
Thank you! 💞 We need to get some and hope it will make a difference. I want my girls to have their freedom.

Cleaned out and refilled the water bucket. Also filled the feeders.
We are down to our last drum of feed. We will get more when we come back from our anniversary trip to Florida.
1 ton, fills 6 drums.

My two old ladies. On the roost at 2pm...I don't blame them. It's cold out.

Brought in two eggs today.

Not sure yet which girl is laying the large brown egg, the green egg is from Opal. She's the lowest on the pecking order. She's so sweet, always ready for a chest rub.

Loved seeing some flock pictures! You have a pretty mix of egg colors.
Thank you Debby.💗 I'm still so sad having them confined. But today I realized they are okay and I'm doing what needs to be done to keep them safe.

I'm down to two non brown layers now. I get the green one and my Cream Legbar lays a nice large blue egg. I'm sure you recognize the Welsummer eggs, they are so pretty.
