I saw a guy here several years ago conditioning his team by having them pull a wheeled sled across dry ground in the summer. I don't suppose that's too unusual, but I'd never given it any thought.

They do that here in summers. I ride on the same trail that the sled teams go down so I see them pretty frequently.

True, but here we get both ends 100-110 with very high humidity, and below zero temps like yesterday. Or lovely days with seventy five degree temperature swings. You stay too dry there for me.
