EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Ahh...o.k. Sorry 'bout that; I'm with you now.
I'll find what looks like giant meal worms once in a while (larval stage of something), & large shiny black beetles that look like they could put a hurtin' on you if so inclined. Pill bugs are an everyday thing, plus more stink bugs than I care to see. Even found a baby snake back when it was still warm that looked for all the world like a Coral snake, which it obviously wasn't 'cause they aren't up here.

The giant meal worms are the larval stage of the beetles, which are likely Hardwood Stump Borer Beetles. I got curious and went on a huge search to find out what they were since I see them coming out of an old pile of wood and a stump in the summer.

Well, you're obviously more than just another pretty face, aren't you? It makes perfect sense when you take the time to think about it, which I didn't. Thanks for the info.
