EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

MC, your presence made me want to post!:hugs
I have been super busy the past 6-8 months, and have been only able to check in from time to time unfortunately. Mostly late in the evening, when most have called it a night.:(
I am just trying to catch up with all of my friends here on BYC now that life has returned to some sort of normal:D
So glad to hear from you!

Abi, ain't you ever had cold weather before? Getting your core warmer helps keep fingers and toes warm. If I go outside in a jacket, my toes are numb in seconds. Go put on a coat. :old

Gotta agree with you there. I bet he gets whistled at when he walks to the corner store.
On the contrary; I get resusitated (sp) (large corners here...3 miles in this case):hmm

You wanna talk about weather?!
Most people have thirty minutes to do chicken chores before frostbite is a problem. I’ve only had ten minutes!! I’ve had frostbite, and this cold has been very painful! I somehow lost every hat and scarf I own! I finally ordered a few items to be delivered Tuesday, and now we’re going to warm up! :barnie
The birds are all fine. Even the bantams are wandering outside now and then. The dog is dealing okay except two nights ago. He went out damp, and in the minute (if that) it took him to pee, he was cold down to the bone. I spent the night holding him against me, hoping he would be okay. He was probably fine after a short time, but I only woke enough to keep myself from letting him go, and rolling over. I couldn’t think to feel for shivering.
Hi Abi. Missed you. Some of my best and warmest scarfs are 8 to 10 inches cut from polar fleece.

I go to Jo-Ann's when they have the 60 an inch polar fleece on sale and cut 8 to 10in wide strips of various ones that I like so I have lots of different fun scarves. Then if they get ruined in the barnyard who cares. They were not expensive.

:tongue

You silly southie. Probably doesn't matter now that you're back to summer temps. :lau
Nope! :bun

I have pink material I bought last year to make Duckling a scarf. She decided it was a doll blanket, and won’t let me take it.
I should buy some more. Stupid me, I didn’t think about it while out. I looked for gear that didn’t cost $25 a piece.

That is what's nice about the polar fleece not only are they warm but they cost no more than a couple of bucks.
