If you ever stop learning, then's the time to say goodbye and go canoe gracefully over a waterfall. Still, if knowledge were able to be qualified, you'd be head and shoulders above many---that much I am certain of.

I finally joined 2 years ago...... BantyChooks you must run in better circles than I do, a lot of the chicken post I run across just make me want to jump out a window with the stupidity. I have found many more knowledgeable folks here than there..... maybe I am following the wrong groups?I, so far, have avoided joining Facebook.
I need to because there are important chicken related things going on there I should be involved with but have resisted.
I only go on pages meant for club members of serious poultry groups. They have some of the best names in the fancy on there. Many of those people have been raising chickens for longer than I have been alive.I finally joined 2 years ago...... A side note: I do not look at any 'backyard' pages, and I imagine they would be filled with the same urban chicken excrement I see on blogs all over the Internet.I only go on pages meant for club members of serious poultry groups. I did not say don't monitor what kids do - good grief no quite the opposite. My kids got A LOT of "guidance" believe me BUT I would not consider putting limits on Internet access and checking accessed sites is any form of satisfactory parental supervision.Sorry but I must disagree here. Yes they will need these skills But just like any other skill they need their parents supervision to learn.
Children will test limits, give in to curiosity, take uncalculated risks, and just do dumb things in general no matter how much you trust them they are kids! There are many full grown adults who find themselves being sucked into online scams and other such threats. How much easier is it for a kid who doesn't yet have the ability to see around corners to fall victim to online dangers? I feel it's our responsibility as parents to look around corners for them.
My dd came very close to being whisked away by some creeper she got talking to online while she was enrolled in a private school with supposedly no access to internet. If we had not been looking at her devices she would most likely be gone.
It can happen to anyones child at any time anywhere. Please monitor your kids online activity!
