Could you tile it, or is it not worth the expense?

It's actually a landscaped swale to route the water away from the house, so it's working as intended. Made another swale up the hill on the other side of the goat barn last fall, that's helping too.

So it's better than it used to be; that's a plus. When we bought this land it was an overgrown, worn out cornfield, and some woods. We hired a contractor to clear enough for the house & lane. He was drunk most of the time, & the lane, which goes uphill to the road, was graded so that the water flowed toward the house. The basement flooded periodically for 40 years before we could afford to regrade so that the water doesn't come in.

This place was cow pasture. Where the house was built it was graded up a bit.

The hen to the left is still alive I think. She stayed in this pen due to the others picking on her. I couldn’t keep her out of the bresse pen. She laid a green egg and lots of them.

Mine were better!

Especially cooked in Creme Freche!

I do not seem to have many photos of them as adults but do have one of a pullet that laid her first egg. She was big for point of lay too:

Yes. poly vi.

Arg! The first two places didn’t have any of the Poly vi, with out iron. I did find this, and diluted a little and I will give her some every once in a while. Sounds okay?

I bought both, but I am giving her the multi first only. I bought the other just in case. I am keeping her separate now, as the others were picking on her when she was wet and shrieking.

Thanks so much, I diluted it, because it was quite thick, but I will continue to dose her consistently. I put her with her friends, and she is doing well, not shrieking, just staying warm under the heating pad.
