EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Oh Joy! Here we go.
35-40 mph winds hitting sometime around midnight tonight, gusting to around 70 MPH. Heaviest winds will be out of the NW. That 60' Pine tree is NW of the house. She's withstood hurricane force winds before, but she wasn't 44 yrs old then. Should be plenty of fire wood to cut when it calms down; hope we don't have to get up on the roof to cut any of it. Hope the coops & shingles stay put, as well.

We're due for snow tomorrow. :hit

We had some major gusts from the west/south west earlier. Was it from that system you guys are talking about? It is breezy now, but earlier today was crazy
Don’t know about your storms but we have sunshine for a minute. It’s actually almost gone now. Clouds are moving fast.
I missed the grain train this time. Didn’t want to dig it out in the rain. I’ve sold about 20 dozen eggs past two weeks. I saw where you had 40 plus.

Egg-nomally..

It was about this time of year when my run was blown down on a windy day. Since Hurricane Sandy, I’ve noticed a lot of strong winds. 60mph (and over) is fairly common.
Isn’t it hurricane season in Florida?
