The chicks seem fine. The feeder is reachable, but they can still run under it when they are bickering over something.

I blame chick fever. Eggs are shipping tomorrow though so my sanity shall return shortly.

I need to go check the chicks.
It’s so nice having them outside. Though it was comical when they would escape the brooder, and be like, “Mom! Uhhhhh... I wasn’t doing anything! I was just minding my business, and the next thing I knew, I was standing here, next to you!”

Broody Cochin hatched 3 bantam chicks today on day 20, something was off with a 4th chick and it didnt survive long past hatch. Never really gained any color or vigor, like it couldn’t oxygenate efficiently and she wouldn’t keep it under her. Anyone seen that happen before?

Debating on separating her from the other bantams, she’s still on the nest but I know it won’t be long before she takes them out into the run for a stroll.
