What's the temperature where you are???

64° and partly cloudy with 44% humidity at 11:00 A.M. Overnight low will be 49°. Might rain in the early evening. Chickens get to go out this afternoon, hooray!

Reason #1057 why we don't free range. That's not a neighborhood kitty, that's a bobcat stalking something.

We have here also plus Lynx but they are very shy and rarely seen.

It’s been cold here but sunny. It was -27C when I got up, now it’s -15C.

Tomorrow’s storm that the States is expecting, will dump about 20cm of snow. So, not overly excessive, but it’s expected to be cold here until mid Feb. no warm up really at all.

t this point I am just waiting for May and better weather.

Heading for 27C here after a week of 20 and less.
It is going to be 35C today and 37C tomorrow. My chickens are already wings out and open mouth breathing. I had a bucket of water ready so when they start to close their eyes, they will be dipped into the bucket.

Saturday: 6:00pm, 30°F, wind chill 19°F, dew point 29°F, humidity 96%, wind N @ 20mph, overcast, freezing drizzle. 🥶☹️ have i mentioned, I hate wind?....makes it feel colder than it is! 😱

The chickens got caught in a light rain but it was 63°/12C at 5:30 PM with no wind, and we got them inside quickly so they'll be okay. That's as wet and disheveled as I've ever seen them. They hate rain, they are truly desert chickens.

Sunday: 7:00am, 25°F, wind chill 13°F, 🥶 dew point 21°F, humidity 85%, wind NNW @ 14mph, overcast. Had a dusting of snow, literally, looked like dust floating around in the air! About a quarter inch of ice accumulated last night.
I know this isn't as cold as the rest of the country but this is South Texas, we just don't deal with this kind of cold, just hotter than hell heat.
