Thanks. Yes, winter is starting to wear a bit... I keep doing chicken stuff and preparing for goats to keep me sane. Or, at least, as sane as I usually am.

Around here I always have to hope I get some of my fruit cuz I always tend to lose either the apples or the pears cuz about the time they blossom out we get another one of our freezing temperature times or we get 6 inches of rain and washes all the blossoms off. I have yet to have a year where I have a crop of both.

Hail took all blossoms off any that were blooming here.

I have a skunk I need to trap. He comes right up and eats my barn cats food. The other night I was walking out he's just sitting there eating the food looking at me didn't even run away or threaten me couldn't care less.

They really are carefree critters. Like you’re going to do what to me.

So on the chicken front do I keep my layers or my Heritage Rhode Island Reds? I am on a major Purge I'm getting rid of all my Boers except for a pair that are my pets. I'm going down to one horse and going down to run cow and a steer. I'm done spending so much time working not only doing the chores but aren't in the money to feed them all.

I’m in the same purge mode. Going to keep the Altsteirers I believe as they are actually doing what I got them for.

Well I thank you for the sentiment but I think I'm boring you guys to tears with my goats. Unfortunately, in kidding season I work and do goats.

Ways to grow wild all over the place where I grew up or maybe they were just seated and then they were wild. We don't have any in the white stuff, but we don't have a whole lot of green yet here either the grass is just barely beginning to have some green Fescue to it though my pear tree is starting to Blossom but it's always early

Hmm.. don't remember ever seeing wild poppies over here. That sounds beautiful.
