Poppy plants look like weeds, fuzzy dandelion weeds. I mowed them over by our garage for a couple yrs when we first bought our house. Then didn't mow our bank by garage for awhile, well I'll be darned, poppies!! Great big tall orange one's. Been letting them grow last few yrs, just try to weed around them best I can till they get a head start. Been re-seeding themselves every yr and getting thicker, perty flowers. Grow right next to a wild azalea Pinxter bush, have a couple of them in front yard also. They smell pretty strong, can smell them from a distance.

I'm thinking of the small multi-colored Poppy's but that sounds like an interesting way to spread seeds.
