This was our first year off from kidding in 5 yrs. March was always our target window. With this cold snap, I guarantee you that would have triggered labor in my girls. Them em-wah would be up all night impatiently waiting on stand by with dry towels and heat lamps.
Same with our Sows. Always a cold spurt, this time of year. Does something to their brains and metabolisms.
I got to sleep in until 6, because of Buck passed away. Kidless Connie this year..

I've only seen the yellow meats once, when, as I was told, they'd just been developed, in Sand Springs, OK. That was in '66.

Daffodils have come and gone here. Fact we have a place here called Daffodil Hill it’s a tourist trap but a fun place to visit. They planted 15,000 daffodil bulbs the hail storm we had damaged all and they won’t open for this year.
First poppy out today.

We are in the end of the blooming period(January February ) now, and it will be mainly yellow and brown from now on.

It’s the states Flower so I wouldn’t be surprised.
I did get a couple wild oregano seeds from Israel to start.
