EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

I need your job.
Of course you're used to the double conversions and so that's probably why you get a job like yours I'm sitting here banging my head trying to figure out how many points my doe is going to get for butterfat if she averaged four percent butterfat and gets .05 points per .023 kg. They had to put it into different forms of measurement just to make us crazy.
No no, I need it too! but you can find a lot like it out there!
Did not understand what you are trying to calculate ,if you need any help I will be more then happy to assist .

I think it ends up being 5.6 points roughly for a gallon. A gallon is about 8.5 lb.
Essentially you get 1 points for each .05 (0.023 kg) of butterfat.
My my dough produces about a gallon and a pint of milk and I don't know her butterfat but the breed averages 4% so I was trying to kind of get a picture of where she is before the milk test.

I am really sorry but I don't understand NOTHING from what you are saying.......:idunno

Well, that makes me feel a little bit better.
I am trying to figure it out myself I know that a gallon of milk is about 8 and 1/2 lb. I know that about 4% of that is butter fat. So once I figure out what 4% of 8.5 lb is in kilograms then I can figure the amount of points I'm going to get. Because I get .05 points for every .023 kg of butterfat.
I think I need to convert the 8.5 lb into kilograms first then I have to figure out what 4% of that is and then I can take whatever that weight is and divide that by .023 kg and then multiply that number times .05. Too bad fire ant farms not around today. All I know is it will have to wait because I have to drive soon.
6.57 is the .1512÷.023 I don't know what to do with that because that is the amount do you get points zero five points for for each of them. But that doesn't seem right it's not enough.

Ha, that is easy!
8.5 pounds =3.81 kg
3.81x4/100=0.152Kg
0.152/0.023=6.6
6.6×0.5=3.3 points
