You could, you could also try to put the other two under her. I often give extra chicks to a Broody at hatch.More excitement with my hatch...so I am in the process of breaking the mean EE broody but I left a couple eggs under the calm Orpington broody and one hatched today (Day 23). I was not expecting that. I picked the chick up & put it back next to the hen & she did not act aggressive toward it, so I am 95% sure it was the other hen that was responsible for killing the chicks.
Should I let the hen keep the one chick? Like I said, she seems ok with it. I am going to keep the mean hen separated from the chick. The mean hen is actually going to go to the butcher in the next few days or so, cause I decided she is too mean even to sell to someone else. I'll ask about this on the broody hen board also...
