Is it usually frozen this time of year? If ours froze it would be very deceptive as it would only be the top 1/4 inch that froze.

Yes ground is usually frozen. And not this wet either. Normally this time of year I can take off across a cut cornfield in my truck, leave no tracks. Now, you’ll sink to the pumpkin in the drive. Literally have water standing everywhere. Cotton didn’t get stripped until Christmas and the modulars are still in the fields. Literally all fall crops have been mudded out. I’ll have to go pump our unground pool cover off again today. I never pump it off in the winter.

Ouch what a loss. All the newly planted orchards here are flooded but they are planting in what would be an overflow area and the soil is more clay like so water isn't soaking in very well

Yeah it’s been crazy. It’s been a muddy tough one for us. I put this new 40x64 building up and then it has been wet ever since and I haven’t been able to get the concrete crews in to pour the floor. Have a new well dug in one of the pastures and can’t get in to trench power or lines. Lots of money just sitting out there idle right now. Cotton can’t be sold until the modulars are out of the field and to the gin. No way we can put cattle on wheat pasture so lots of hay is being consumed. Ya I’m over the mud if you can’t tell. LOL

Is your forecast for dryer times?
