EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Where do you live? Post a pic. Shhhh, don't tell my DH. lol
Hey, been a while since I've seen you here. :frow
Unfortunately, I'm quite far away from you. Getting it from here to there would cost more than it would for you to build one.

Nice job!
Yeah, family doc misdiagnosed it; said it wasn't the flu. 24 hrs later I was in the hospital; almost left here.
I pray things are running smooth now and the game plan is well in place :hugs:hugs:hugs
ps... Luke passed his PA hunter ed course last Sat! Big thing is he has his first 22 and a scope for it! Last kid finally has his Cert! Did you see that along with Brody grandson I have two granddaughters in short order! I couldnt even go see them as I was down with the flu! I am hoping they can spare me a few moments to let me visit now!

Well, good for him!
Not sure if I caught that. Can never have enough grandkids.
Our GGS just hit 2.

So I’m incubating just over a dozen call duck eggs, and apparently I am supposed to start misting and cooling on day 10, to mimic a wet mother hen, but I have been a bit concerned about it, not wanting to kill off all my healthy embryos. I have only hatched chicks before, this is my first time having ducks in the bator. What do you recommend? Also, a few of the eggs were put in a couple days behind the rest, as I was collecting my call hens’ eggs daily. Will that harm then to mist and cool before their own day 10?

I misted my LF duck eggs starting before day ten with no issues. It helps air cells grow to the correct size.
