Getting hype for Eurovision this year. It's nine days after my birthday this year, got a good crop of finalists. Isn't it supposed to be in Tel Aviv this year, Benny?

Yes It is, and all the commotion is in hige gear!Getting hype for Eurovision this year. It's nine days after my birthday this year, got a good crop of finalists. Isn't it supposed to be in Tel Aviv this year, Benny?
How is the winner determined? Live judges?Yes It is, and all the commotion is in hige gear!
I lost my interest in this competition from the moment that all singers left their native language and started singing in English. Instead of Spanish, Greek, Portuguese, Hebrew, French, Slovenian ect songs, which was very interesting to listen Now you get a monolithic English, not to enjoying. Nevertheless it will be a very beautiful contest, I believe.
How is the winner determined? Live judges?
Every country have a panel that is combined from professional judges and the general public (televoting) and together they scales the songs from 0 points to 12 point, and they offcorse can't give any to theirs owen country. How is the winner determined? Live judges?
I don’t feel bad for them. I feel worse for the skunks I get in my traps.Poor putty tats...
I was wondering if everything was being sung in English to try to eliminate the language barrier if all the judges aren't conversant in all the native languages of all the contestants. English is pretty much universally spoken anymore in developed countries, isn't it?It's a combination of a panel of industry leaders and votes from the general population of the countries involved. Each country awards two sets of 12, 10, 8–1 points to their 10 favourite songs: one from their professional jury and the other from televoting.
My personal favorite songs are the ones making fun of the contest itself, like Ireland did a while back and the hosts did a couple years ago.
In Love Love Peace Peace, all the really weird things they list have actually happened at one point or the other in the contest and a few have actually won. Lordi from Finland has been my absolute favorite, followed by Belgium's own Roberto Bellarosa.
A lot of Americans finally heard about Eurovision because of Roberto. He was just so happy to be there!
