I am so frustrated right now. I've lost 4 of my month-old chicks in the last 3 days. One to my dog, one to a mean older hen, and two drowned in the water bucket. I just want to smack myself over the bucket. How could I have missed that risk?! What an awful death--I feel so irresponsible for not thinking to cover it. I am so ashamed of myself for not doing better. :hit:he And now I've gone from 4 roos and 5 pullets to 3 roos and 2 pullets.

I lost a nice pullet due to a small hole on coop. I knew to plug it, even thought at the time I should go get wood and take care of it. Came home from work and she had stuck her head out but couldn’t get back in. :barnie
Sometimes it just happens. It’s plugged now.
