EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

One more week till I can ultrasound goats. I swear when you want time to go slowly it flies by, and when you're waiting like this it seems yo take forever. Definitely the watched pot.
It looks like I got four of my six AI breedings. :fl
I will be very excited if they all took. I bred 1 doe to Woest-Hoeve FC Tommy Boy who is the full brother to the National Champion (also the full uncle to my good buck Boon). I only was able to get 10 straws of him before his sister went National Champion twice. they only had about forty straws from him as he was a young buck. Fortunately, I found him before his sister went two time champ. I bought the 10 straws to use on the daughters of my buck for line breeding.
The other three does that look like they took are bred to My-Enchanted-Acres Leading Man. I got the semen last fall as another way to bring in more of the old Iron-owl dam lines, and the sire is a famous grandson of Kismet Marvins Smooth Operator s named Playboy so it ties other parts of my breeding program together too. The doe that took reserve National Champion is kind of like his 3/4 sister they have the same mother and but one of the same grandparents on the other side. There's only one animal different in the grandparents and that one is related to the other so I am not sure exactly how to describe how related they are.
I am very excited to get things out of both of these and then combine it with my buck, his daughters, and then them back to their uncle. it is going to be a process, but I'm bringing together the disparate parts of my herd and interestingly enough two parts of my plan ended up at the top of Nationals the last three years. We shall see what happens.

@Sally Sunshine
So where do you get your scents and pigments? I just ordered some scents from Aztec and then adding some micas from Mad Mica's.

As for melting that much since I bet you don't have $1,000 to spend on the fancy ones they sell. I guess you could get a single burner and a big pot. you know those electric plug-in burners we used to have for apartments. Though a microwave sounds easier.

I don't know how strange that is personally I'll eat tomatoes and anything as long as they're not raw :sick
I’m a fan of raw or steamed. She actually likes vegetables, but was told that they are gross, so she stopped eating them. She will starve herself because she knows she is leaving eventually, and will get McDonald’s.

I put a lot of fine shredded vegetables (onion, zukini, carrots, leeks ect) In meatballs they don't notice that it's there.

You can upgrade the sweet potato with some home made ayoli mayonnaise and some diced pastrami.
Sounds yummy, but too many calories. I did have some garlic, but it was a good one so I left it plain.

Yes, for those who haven't tried it garlic on a sweet potato does sound disgusting. The first time my friend who has diabetes did that as an alternative to brown sugar I thought it sounded awful. She said it is really not bad, so I tried it, and she's right it's not bad. It's actual a good and very different way to have sweet potatoes. So now I can have mine all kinds of ways.
