EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

I'll start.
I set 25 eggs on the 8th. This is a fertility test since there are 10 hens in one building and the remaining primary rooster only spends about every other day with them. Maybe the next time I open one of the eggs I'm not incubating, I'll check the blastoderm.
I'm only hatching the darkest eggs.
I have some pullets that hatched 126 days ago and some more that hatched about 3 weeks later. I'm expecting I may start getting some of their eggs at the end of the month or some time in February.

On that note we had 2 turkeys running amok in incubators this morning. They broke out of their calcium prisons and joined us here in the real world! Still too early to predict colors as they were not fully dry when I saw them but it looks promising that more turkeys and a few chicks will be joining them in the brooder area by tomorrow.
