EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

I am always grateful for good drainage around my property. Guess who’s roof is leaking?
I live in sand.
In fact the township to the north is called....Sands township for a reason.
Yeah not a lot of bad flooding around here.
A few weeks ago we had some flash flooding.... But just some water running over the roads was about it....

Just be glad you are a little bit to the north.
I'll keep you in my prayers Whites.
I'm so glad we don't get bad weather here.
Oh, I'm glad, alright; believe it! I was just telling Sally that we miss most of them, 'cause of the mountains' effect on the air currents & atmospheric pressure, I guess. We got a bad one here the year before we moved here in '73, but I don't remember any since then.

Ugh!:barnie Lived in a house with a leaky roof for almost 20years, re-roofed it two years ago, then moved out. :hitBut love the new house.:frow
My roof leaked when I moved in here..... Right after my bone marrow transplant.
Me and my brother built a new more steep pitched roof on top of the old one..... It's built with 2x6" on 16" centers....... Used 2x4's for oerlings...... And metal roofing instead of shingles.
Snow slides right off in the winter..... And I'm pretty sure the roof will still be standing long after the rest of the house collapsed......
