EE are confusing!

All girls! I can only assume you saw those red patches on the wings and thought boy. The real clue is an overall even pattern, EE males are very patchwork like, splotches of color here and there with rusty red on the shoulder and wing bar. I had one very red girl, similar to a couple of yours that I was eyeballing until we hit 16 weeks. I had such bad luck with cockerels all spring I assumed every dang chicken was a boy until it obviously was not! Comb is actually a good indicator for EEs, females do show some color but males get big lumpy looking combs fairly early most of the time.
