You bet. It's a shame roosters are so frowned upon in most cases. Maybe just get a good soup recipe

Age wise I was thinking it was a maran (we got several batches at different ages) but the wife was sure it was an EE.

Living in a city has it's drawbacks. I don't mind roos. We mistakenly got 3 before and they made a nice broth.

You're right, the wife is wrong. That's a black copper Marans cockerel, not an Easter egger. Being that it's a rarer breed you may have luck selling him. Where are you located?
