EE Chicks from Ideal

Hmmm, not sure about that one. My EE has a pea comb and she lays light brown eggs.

If you want just blue eggs, try looking for pure Ameraucana eggs through a search engine.

That's my plan. There's a woman near me who gets eggs from the true ameraucana breeders, and hatches them for sale. I was thinking of getting some chicks from her this year because she's very particular about getting high quality stock.

Mine 4 EEs all have pea combs and the only 2 laying so far have given me a tan and pinkish tan eggs. I am crossing my fingers that the other 2 will lay green or blue--but don't have my hopes up.

Well, I guess that blows the comb/egg color correlation theory all to heck! Thought it sounded like an old wives tale anyway!

Guess I am just lucky that 5 out of my six lay green-blue eggs and the other is definitely pink.

I have three more 24 week old EE'ers that should begin laying soon. I'll probably always watch the combs and check to see what color their eggs are. LOL

(I just got an order for 12 more EE pullet chicks, from Ideal, too. My egg customers LOVE those green eggs....now I am worried!)
