26 weeks would be wonderful. But I wouldn't surprised if they go longer :-/
The one that was 26 weeks lays 6 eggs a week. She cuddles. SHe is smart. SHe is my super chicken. She came into the laundryroom and laid her first egg in the wood chip bag. She knocks on the doggie door or comes in with my dog and goes out after she is done. She has taught some of my other chickens to do the same thing. She is amazing.

wow, that is an amazing chicken. The last picture is a riot! Thanks for sharing.

Do you have any other kinds of chickens besides EE?

I've got barred rocks and production reds as well as EE. I've got some EE & EEmix pullets that are at POL but some more BR and PR getting close. This weekend, I've discovered new small light tan eggs and wonder who is laying: EE (older sisters lay green so dad has brown egg genes), EE mix (BR or PR mother plus dad with brown egg gene could result in brown egg laying pullet), or maybe one of my nearly 5 month old PRs are already starting to lay. If you have a similar situation as I do, you may have have an EE without blue (or green) egg gene or one of your other non-EE pullets has started laying. Until you either observe the pullet and resulting egg or get a day where each hen has laid an egg and you can count the number of blue/green eggs you have (I'm going to have to wait for that day) it's hard to tell exactly what you have.

Thank you for your replies. To be honest, I haven't actually seen them lay these eggs. I do have a variety of other breeds: plymouth rock, RIR, Jersey Giants. And I thought I knew what color all their eggs are. But Now that realize I don't have hard evidence, I'll do some more surveilance.
