I throughly enjoyed the pics and "watching your ckicks grow up" they change soooo much. wow.. I kno w their looks will change but oreo.. whew and oh my gosh the colors in skyfire.. wow..

ive got to go take pics of my two ee's now so that I can post their growth too.. right now red chickmunk roo - Uncle daddy, and a white with grey? pullet - Sookie.. shes not the prettiest right now.. and out of all the breeds ive gotten and have now.. all of a sudden this little plane jane girl EE has stolen my heart.. she is soo smart.. shes 6 weeks and my big flock is 8 weeks big difference in body size and when one of the pullets will run at her and she'll come running and hop up on me..even if standing, she can now fly all the way to my shoulders from the ground and she just waits till they've lost interest and then shell hop down my little roo not so much yet.. but he is at least a week younger.. and smaller.. I forsee great things for him I think he will be beautiful red and blue. fingers crossed.
blessed be to all )O(

Hi everyone,
these are not before and after pics just Now pics... have a couple questions on plumage on my two kids...
I am estimating that my little roo.. Uncle daddy is apr. 6 weeks old. same as my little polish .. he is what I would call chipmunk marked. Im thinking maybe will be red and blue?
My little Pullet Sookie, is 2 weeks older aprox so 8 weeks old. I would love to learn what color she is considered? also they both have the puffy ears but neither have the beard started. when will they get the big neck feathers? they both eat very well .. sleep alot like most babies, him more than her.

any expectations you could give me would be great.. Im so excited to see how they will turn out.. keeping track of their and all my flocks looks now for future reference..

thanks )O(

Here is Abajah my rooster (he came sexed and identified as a he--- that's what the cool leg band is about) at 2 days

and again at 28 days. It doesn't really show well but some of his white feathers have a pinkish orange cast to them.

Anyone else have a mature rooster that started off like him? If so I would love to see a picture. I'm really wondering what the final product will be.

Agnes and Adaline were the standard brown chipmunks and are turning into those fairly common lovely golden hens..

Just picked these two up from the feed store this week since I ended up with 5 roo's and was in need of another hen. Hopefully I'll get better non-camera phone pics soon and Ill definitely post what they look like as adults! I'm excited to find out!!

I love this thread...Easter eggers are so amazing in how different they can turn out. I have 6 of them that are almost 6 weeks old...will try to compile some pics.

ok here are some progression pics.

Here is Graysen and Kai. The blue is a hen and the beige is a roo.

Here they are at 3 days old.

So I could use some help from you folks. I made an incubator a month or so ago, and I advertised on Freecycle that I needed some fresh fertile eggs to test it out with. One very nice lady replied and she gave me five eggs. They were green tinted. I saw the hens, they looked very classic barnyard EE type, but the roo looked like a small framed barred rock or maybe cuckoo maran. I ended up hatching 4 of the 5 donated eggs, and three are brown, 1 is black with a white belly. All of them have a white spot on the back of their head. I looked through these pics for that but didn't see it. The chicks are almost 2 weeks old now, and have the puffy cheeks, but I wonder what they will be like. Here is a pic from a few days ago.
Have any of you had some that looked this way? I'm new to all this, and lack experience.

I have just a few EE: a brown hen and 10 pullets at about 8 weeks. THe pullets are 3 white or cream and started as white fluff balls; the other startee as7 chipmunks, 3 lighter, 3 darker; 6 now look alike black flecks over a dark rusty tan and 1 with dark hackles over tannish body with black flecks.

Matlock585:
My marans are black bodied with white bellies. (FBCM) And no white on the heads--bought as straight run chicks. White on the head of black chicks reminds me of the black star egg layers which is a barred rock on a rhode Island red: chicks are black, males have a white spot, girls do not have a white spot. They feather out differently: males with barring, girls are black with red under chin area.

I have limited experience; so I'm curious about other opinions about your birds.
