One more question - this morning I saw them both jumping at eachother, feet first, cock-fighting style. Is it normal for a pullet to do it? My other girls run at eachother with their neck feathers puffed out, but I've never seen them jump at eachother. It was both of them doing it, each one alternately instigating it.
I also noticed the shiny, irridecnt saddle feathers on the black and white one this morning (none on the other one so far), which I hadn't noticed yesterday. So that seals the deal on one of them. Anybody want a pretty EE roo?
I never did get the answer about separating them if one is a roo and one is a hen and they are so attached. I suppose I am putting human traits on birds, but I do know other types of birds will mourn for their mates if they get separated.
