Just hatched 2 babies who are EE hen X Light Brahma roo. Do you still call them Easter Eggers? Or do you just call them mutts?

Any chance of green eggs like their mammas?

They're still EE's

I don't call them ee's unless they lay colored (green/blue) eggs. These probably won't as I believe egg color is passed thru the roo, not impossible tho. I would sell them/call them mutts

You can still call them EEs, but if it were me, I'd say light brahma crosses.

Genetic makeup of an EE: 50% araucana/ameraucana, and 50% anything else.

Your chick would be 25% araucana/ameraucana, 25% something else, and 50% light brahma.

And EEs can lay 'normal' colored eggs and still be called EEs. It's genetics, not the product, that makes an EE an EE.

and some EEs lay pink eggs... I have 6 EEs and from them I get green, blue, pink, and a blueish green-almost white eggs... you never know what color you are going to get!

I like the term "barnyard cross" as opposed to "mutt".

You could get a variation of olive eggers since Brahmas lay brown eggs.
