EE or Welsummer?

So perusing the forums, I have learned that my Aracauna's we're in fact EE's.... Good to know, I am waiting to see what egg color surprises I get. Reading on the last EE topic though, someone posted a pic of a hen that looks very similar to my Big Red. So now I'm thinking she's a Partrige colored Welsummer? Welsummer + EE? We've wondered why she has 3 times the comb of my EE's, and the yellow beak and legs.... anybody?

all the individual pics look like welsummers, but it looks like 4 EE's are in the group photo.

You may have some olive-eggers there. Is it possible that the father of your EEs was a Wellie?

I'm hoping to make some just like yours in the spring with (one of several!) a Wellie roo and EE hens.

Hmmm, Robin take another look at those legs. Matty, can you tell us what color they are?

They look to have a greenish, willow color to them. If that's the case, I'd say it's an EE.

I crossed my BW Ameraucana roo over my Welsummer hens this year. I have some very light colored chicks but I also have some darker looking chicks. I also have a juvenile Welsummer cockerel that looks just like a Welsummer except it has a peacomb.

Given all that, I think you've got some EE in her.

Her legs look pretty yellow to me. My other EE's are grey/green no doubt about it, but hers look yellow. neutral beak I think. No ear muffs or beard either. those pics were taken early morning with poor lighting. I will get get better pics in the morning with some comparisons to my other EE's. Thanks for everyones imput!!

Her feather pattern looks a little ee-ish to me, maybe she's a cross? But i mostly had to post cuz I have never ever seen another Coos Bay-er on here!!! Haha, we might know each other! Pretty chickens.

Tailfeathers, I saw the legs and to me, they are yellow but not bright yellow of a youngster. She is a beauty in the second picture. The rest of them looks fine and see some EE;s going on in there.

Maybe more pics of this pullet will be needed. If she does have some pigment in it, like blotchy pattern, then it is not a true Welsummer.
