I think this EE is a boy because he is extremely bold. I am unfamiliar EE, let alone the development of the pea combs. It looks like 3 combs towards the top but they seem to all merge into one. What do you think?

How old is the bird? Both males and females get 3 rows on their combs, but the males show them faster than the females. Do you have a body shot of the bird, standing on it's own? (side view is best)

The comb is a light pink. These 2 easter eggers I got seem more like wild birds then chickens in my opinion. Maybe it's because they were hatched and raised in a small local hatchery - little human contact. They chirp instead of bwok'ing. When they are scared they freeze with fear in there eyes. And they fly...a long way. Maybe it's because I have raised all my other birds from chicks so I am used to their mannerisms. I was told the EE hatched May 31, but seem awful small to me. In the 2nd picture, you can see they are the same size as my Orps, hatched 07/06.

I'm a newbie. Wondering how can you tell?
