EE Pullet started crowing and stopped laying!

I am really scratching my head right now. Our EE Pullet is around 7 months old and started crowing! I caught her red handed this morning when I saw her do it through the window of the barn. I know for a fact that she’s a Pullet because she’s laid two eggs so far and is our only colored egg layer and I’ve seen her nesting. That’s the other thing, she’s only laid two small eggs and has stopped completely. It’s not a constant thing either I’d say I catch her doing it a couple times a week and only in the morning when I turn the barn lights on and go let them out. Another bizarre thing is that she’s not even the dominant hen! She’s the newest and bottom of the pecking order and still gets put in her place once in awhile. Any idea what the heck is going on with her?? Is she just “quirky?!” Will I ever get those beautiful blue eggs again or is she having a gender identity crisis?? Lol

She is beautiful. She is a she. I hear EEs can be slow to mature, mine were but became more consistent in time.
The crow, lol. I have had 3 of my girls do crow. Always shocking and comical. Though, never after I got them their own man.
Not sure what it means when a girl crows but.... I live Kauai where we have LOTS of wild chickens and roos. Literally 100s of thousands and they are everywhere. In the wee hours, I hear the first crow and then it is answered and so on till it is a huge chorus of crows in surround sound, my boys adding to it. I've come to think of it like a grid pattern. Marking their spot, physically filling in the blanks when they appear and answering the calls of challenge. When there is a blank spot a roo soon follows hence me having roos to guard my flock from ferals moving in. I found my girls who crowed personalities were tuff ones, the backers, the clear thinkers, the tomboy, enforcers, though not the matriarch's. I often wonder if it is just following a protocal and putting their marker on the grid. If I were to put my money on one it would be that it is a marker. Though could possibly be calling a man to come mate and look after them. Just a guess and would be interested in hearing others thoughts and deductions.

We actually have a roo that lives at the end of our road that we can hear but they are not free range so maybe she’s calling out to him! She definitely has that tomboy attitude so that was spot on, it’s definitely comical watching her have all that confidence like her poo don’t stink even though she’s bottom of the order I’ve also heard EEs are slow to mature, I’ll be sad if she doesn’t lay again but her goofy personality makes up for it! She sounds like a blast. Certainly a capable beauty ♡. I had one of my slow starting- mediocre laying EE's go gangbusters @ 4yo. Like 5 a week for a few months. They are just strange wonderful birds and like you said, those blue eggs are treasures.
