EE roo??*pic update post #10*

its still too early to tell for sure with an EE. Peacombs are deceptive... I personally think its a pullet. - why? Because the coloring pattern - that is a coloring pattern you typically see on pullet EEs. - also I would expect more darkening in the comb... I say she is your dominant pullet - or will be...

However - like I said, Easter Eggers and peacombs are hard to tell till around 10-12 weeks old.

There is a great thread that will help you. You will be an expert EE sexer

If you read through this thread you will get a clearer picture of EE. That is a pullet, roos don't color that way

with this threads info you can sex them when they feather out very young.

This EE was supposed to be a pullet too, but at 6 weeks, you can pretty much tell she's a he!! I almost convinced myself that he was just a dominant hen but...come on!!

I think the color pattern on your bird looks pullet-ish and I think it's comb looks pretty small yet.

Hadji @ 6 weeks old!

Thanks for the help! I read through that whole thread on EEs and I am thinking maybe I do have all girls after all.

I love my little chickies and I hope I don't have to get rid of any of them because they are roos. Darn city ordinances...lol I know one of my neighbors isn't at all thrilled that we have chickens so I know if I end up with a roo I definitely can't keep it because my neighbor will have a fit!

I have 2 that look just like these...

I believe my 2 are pullets, and this one,

Is a roo?

I am just as confused, mine are now 6 weeks old...I am playing the waiting game as well.

Looks like a girl to me. I have one pullet that had a larger comb than the others, the comb looked just like your bird's. Now they're 4 mos old and her comb suddenly grew big and red. She looked like she had a pea comb that was bigger than her sisters when they were babies, but now hers is obviously a pea/straight comb cross.

Maybe that's what's going on with yours.
