EE roo?...Update!!

EEs don't have different colors for roos or hens. I had an EE roo that just recently passed, and he was orange (see pic below) We also used to have a white EE hen! So, colors, don't worry. However, your EE might not be an EE. EEs have green legs and are a mutt breed of the Ameraucana. Ameraucanas have blue legs. Now, I am positive that if I am wrong, someone will get on here and correct me. But, your EE might be an Ameraucana. It might be an EE with blue legs though! Who knows! So, here is a pic of my late roo, MIka:

Ok, I'm breathing again. I would hope that the hatchery wouldn't goof up on 4 of them.
Hopefully we'll find out soon for sure if Rosie isn't a Ritchie!

I guess if we start hearing some crowing I'll know that something is up.

Great red rooster btw MikasGirl!

Agreed - easter eggger hens can be white and easter egger roosters can be orange or brown. Easter eggers can also have slate legs - not just green legs - and that has nothing to do with the sex either.

lilbirdee - I think it's too early to tell on your chick.

fshinggrl - Yours looks like a definite pullet - body shape and feather coloring pattern.

Thanks! I've been trying to figure out the saddle feathers and the shapes of feathers and everything looks round to me! You just made my day!!!

Now we are just waiting for the SLW's to start crowing.

too young for saddle feathers, still may be a cockeral, those are some thick legs.......

as for the OP, stance does look very cockeralish, but I would say too young to sex.......

and as said before, EE's come in ALL colors, roo and hens....

Yeah, he does look hawkish. I get the question...What's that hawk looking bird doing in with your chickens?
Lately he has mellowed out a bit and not being such a bully. Very active and alert. For a while there I really didn't like him much, but he just my end up being the one chosen rooster that I will keep.
