EE Rooster mixed with....

Hi All,

I have an EE rooster and would like to hatch out some chicks next year. I have Golden Comets, Black Sexlinks, & EE hens. Will I get blue/green egg layers from any chicks 'sired' by him? Or just out of the eggs from the EE hens?

The ones crossed with the comets and blacks should be a shade of olive green. Good luck!

If your rooster came from a blue/green egg, he should produce some from the brown egg layers that will lay green eggs, and some will lay brown eggs.
With the EE hens it depends on what color they lay and sometimes they will lay brown eggs even if both parents came from green eggs.
