ee sexing thread...(pics only please)

I totally agree with the pick the boring chick comment. I picked out a gorgous yellow chick with a puffy face and feather legs and 2 boring browns and the browns have turned into pullets and the yellow one is a roo all the way. They are 7.5 weeks old now and Im pretty sure of their genders but if I have it wrong please let me know. This will be pic heavy because I started out takin pics of all the chicks every week but I lost track of it and stopped.

Heres Copperhead (DH named it lol) A Pullet.

A few days old.

Thank you Dragonmorgen! Great series of pics. You're giving me a little more hope. Its too early to tell, but my suspect 4 week old looks more like your Peanut or Copperhead than Warlock. I'm still suspicious based on behavior, but what do I know? (these are my first chicks). When I do know for sure, I plan to come back here and add more to the picture inventory.

This is a great thread, and I finally have some to share.

You people are making me so jealous. I want some EEs so badly. I think I have a few roos, so I may try to get some EEs in place of them. Please keep sharing!! They are so pretty.

Here is a chick which bless its heart I had to help hatch because mom got off the nest & left it. I tried to put Mighty Moe (MiMo) back with its mom but she was moving around & he/she couldn't keep up. As a last ditch effort I brought him in & put him in a towel with a heating pad under it. I did my best to regulate the temp with a laser temp gauge and am happy to report after 2 nights in the house (one with another nest mate) he is back with his mom.

Mom & first hatchlings

MiMo first night

MiMo day 2 with bathtub stopper for size ref.

This little guy is doing well so far and is trying to keep up/catch up. He is going to be a keeper no matter his sex!

Sorry to ask but do I need to keep reposting pics as they grow? I hate to keep posting the same pics but do not know how else to update chicks progress. Thanks

there should be a pencil looking icon in the bottom of your post by the red flag, thats the edit post button
