Hello all! I am on week 12 of raising my first EE's and I absolutely love them. However, there is one that seems to be a little different. She (?) is usually in her own corner and the only one who will not come near me. She (?) has a pea comb and it was a little more red than the others. I know are of these can all be signs of a roo, but am hoping otherwise. Every morning I change their water, and this morning I think I heard a little bit of a wake up call. I don't know which of the 17 it came from but "she" is my guess. Please let me know if Lori is a roo!!
PS her comb is a lot more red than you can see in the pic.

Thank you. Could you please help me understand if you can tell from the picture alone and/or also because of the noted behavior? I appreciate all your help.
Picture alone. See that dark, rusty shade of red through the shoulder/wing area? Notice how is't a different shade than the red patterning elsewhere on the bird? That's male specific. You will see that shade on many breeds and mixes, but exclusively on the males. The comb development is just further confirmation.

The comb color and look is what makes me feel rooster vibes off the bird. But also I have feelings when I see a young bird whether it's a male or female. I have had 3 mama hens since December and I felt like all their chicks were hens. Luckily that's what it looks like it is. That never happens . With my birds the hens were always more shy than the males so the behavior didn't scream male to me. That's just based off my birds when they were chicks. The roos were always more friendly and bold.
