EEs 25 weeks and no eggs yet...

I think we have the same girl, LOL. However, my DH found a light blue egg under a roost bar that my Ameraucanas who are currently laying never sit on-they lay in the nests every time, so either it's my EE, June, who is now 32 weeks, or one of the Ameraucanas, Nora or Snow. Guess I'll have to catch her at it to be sure.

LOL maybe she is hiding them from us....lol.

I think its harder for us to wait for those colored eggs isn't it?
I have other some EEs and Ameraucanas that are 24 weeks and 30 weeks and I had hoped would be laying by now, then I have some other breeds the same age who are not laying yet and I am not as impatient with them.
I really want to see those blue and green eggs!!

My EE did not lay till 9 months old.

My bantam EE laid at 7 months and once the standard size started laying she quit and has not given me one egg since.

I have good news, I just collected more eggs and there was a smallish bluish green egg! Hawkeye (she looks like a silver Ameraucana) was sitting on my foot and talking very excitedly. She just seemed so proud of that egg. LOL I'm not sure if it was her, but anyway, she and the other 2 ameraucana/EEs are 27 1/2 weeks old now. I hope everybody else starts to see those pretty coloured eggs soon too.

well mine are 10 months old now and we still have not gotten an egg from them. I also have 6 others that are 7 months and still no eggs from them either

Ug. I feel your frustration about the no eggs!

Adri, chickens do crow about the eggs they have laid. Mine laid 2 eggs recently - I guess to make up for missed days? She was letting the whole neighborhood know!

I swear that the wild birds terrified my girls as to what my intentions were for them. Once they saw I only wanted the eggs they got alot tamer and more trusting of me.

We just moved to a rental that has a large tree in the backyard. My babies decided that they wanted to roost in the tree with the wild things. (I clipped their wings awhile back.) Henrietta got to the other end of the yard and with great determination she ran as fast as she could towards that tree - furiously flapping her wings as she approached it. She promptly bumped her noggin on the trunk and was too ashamed to even try again! It was so funny!

The other day my husband put both girls on low perches in the tree just to make them feel good.

I just got my first egg today from one of my easter eggers, she is 28 weeks old today.
She sat in that nest box for two days straight but never laid anything,I would check the nest every time she got off and there was never an egg. I finally gave up on her and stopped checking the coop after she left it and today my son was out in the yard and saw her leave the coop again and he checked and found a nice large green egg.
